William is the National Market Development Manager (Renewable Energy Technology) with A.O Smith Corporation. William was instrumental in shaping Georgia’s first state sponsored investment tax credit incentive program for renewable energy and establishing solar promotion programs with utilities in the South East including Jackson EMC, Cobb EMC, Greystone Power, etc.

Description: Are you ready to take the Licensing Exam and need a quick overview? Georgia state law requires home builders to be licensed and regulated by the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors effective July 1, 2008. Eligibility for licensure will be determined by the board for all candidates who have successfully applied for and passed their licensing examination. The Greater Atlanta HBA is offering a two-day class to prepare builders for the state exam. 8:00 AM Level 1-A: Fundamentals of Erosion and Sediment Control Re-Certification - Location: The Housing Center
Description: Do you need your re-certification hours for erosion? In 2003, HB285 amended the Georgia Erosion and Sediment Control Act of 1975. These amendments included a mandatory certification program for all individuals involved in land disturbing activities in Georgia. This certification must be renewed every three years. Each certified individual shall be required to attend and participate in at least four hours of approved continuing education courses, as established by the Commission. (O.C.G.A. 12-7-19) The Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) in consultation with the Stakeholder Advisory Board have established the re-certification requirements. There will not be an examination required for re-certification. Participants must bring a photo ID and your blue card. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED! William “Bill” Webb will facilitate this course. Bill earned his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic University in 1969. He is currently a consultant for the Georgia DOT after retiring from 34 years of service with them. He has taught the Level 1A and Level 1B since 2006 and participated in many field reviews and evaluations on erosion and sedimentation issues.

Join us for this half day session that will help participants to understand: • The latest statistics of the baby boomers plus their needs, goals and desires regarding homeownership. • HUD’s Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (reverse mortgage) loan product for purchase. • How to prepare the agent to offer the senior buyer in purchasing their perfect home with a reverse mortgage, what types of homes are eligible for the program and other basic qualifications. Tracy Laney will facilitate this session. Tracy is originally from Northern California. She received her BA from Sacramento State and has held various positions over the period of her career as well as 8 years as a Vice President for Impac Funding Corporation, the residential mortgage origination platform of Impac Mortgage Holdings. She started in the reverse mortgage arena in 2007 with Unity Mortgage Corp. (UMC) in Atlanta and is currently with Main Street Home Loans where she specialties in reverse mortgages.
